Summary
The series initially centres on Mike King, portrayed by Matt Wright, who relocates from the United States to London with his mother, Rita, following her divorce. While adjusting to his unfamiliar surroundings, Mike discovers a peculiar wardrobe in their new home. The wardrobe serves as a portal through which Angelo, played by Tyler Butterworth , an alien from another world, abruptly emerges. Possessing no understanding of Earth or of his own origins, Angelo depends on Mike to navigate human society, while Mike in turn benefits from Angelo’s presence as he adapts to life in London.
Within the confines of the household, Mike and Angelo embark on a succession of comedic misadventures. Angelo’s alien physiology and unconventional behaviour, such as walking on the ceiling or constructing eccentric inventions, frequently lead to misunderstandings of everyday human customs. These misunderstandings form the basis of the show’s episodic escapades, with each incident highlighting the contrast between Angelo’s otherworldly perspective and the routines of ordinary domestic life.
