Summary
Former FBI profiler Frank Black possesses an exceptional capacity to reconstruct the psychological states of violent offenders, often extrapolating detailed behavioural insights from minimal evidence. After prolonged exposure to the traumatic implications of his work , and following the emergence of a serial killer who begins targeting his family, Black resigns from the Bureau and relocates with his wife and daughter to Seattle.
In his new surroundings, Black’s analytical abilities continue to attract attention, leading to his recruitment by the Millennium Group, a covert organisation that asserts a lineage extending back nearly two millennia. The Group is dedicated to identifying and combating manifestations of human malevolence, and Black’s involvement draws him into a series of investigations that test both his expertise and his personal resilience.
