Summary
Mission Top Secret follows Jemma Snipe, the daughter of the housekeeper employed by Sir Joshua Cranberry, a renowned inventor. While experimenting with Cranberry’s educational computer, Jemma inadvertently accesses a dormant communications satellite and establishes CENTAURI, a covert global network connecting young people across multiple countries.
Through this system, Jemma befriends youths worldwide and soon becomes involved in assisting Vicki and Albert Wiggins, orphaned siblings pursued by the unscrupulous Neville Savage. Savage believes they possess information relating to one of their late father’s scientific discoveries. Another orphan, Spike, later joins CENTAURI and becomes a recurring ally.
Savage, a billionaire with a fixation on acquiring rare and valuable artefacts, frequently finds himself in conflict with CENTAURI. His schemes often intersect with the activities of the network’s members, drawing them into investigations that span multiple regions. Although CENTAURI operates as a global collective, individual members typically appear only briefly in certain episodes, usually when contacted to report on information relevant to a case unfolding within their locality.
