Summary
The series follows Detective Ding Qi, who unexpectedly acquires the ability to relive a single day up to five times. Unlike a conventional time loop, each cycle ends at midnight before events reset, with most individuals losing all memory of previous iterations. A small number of people, however, retain their memories across the loops.
Ding Qi uses the first four cycles to gather information, identify suspects, and collect evidence, allowing him to intervene in criminal incidents during the final iteration. His investigations become increasingly complicated after receiving a cryptic warning connected to a suspect known as Squid. As subsequent loops begin to diverge in unexpected ways, Ding Qi suspects that Squid may possess similar temporal abilities.
The case eventually leads to MOMA, a genetic biotechnology organisation linked to a series of suspicious deaths involving its executives. As Ding Qi and his team pursue new leads, they uncover a network of secrets, deceptions, and competing agendas. While his ability provides a significant investigative advantage, each cycle also presents new challenges that test his judgement and deepen his understanding of his powers. Their search for the truth ultimately develops into a race against time to uncover a mystery with potentially far-reaching consequences.
