Summary
As the period associated with the prophecies of Nostradamus draws near, a clandestine organisation of mutant psychics known as Moon Spiral prepares to enact a plan to eradicate humanity. In response, the Japanese secret service establishes its own covert counter‑group under the leadership of special agent Kessaku Yatsumata (Miyasaka). His team includes his adopted daughter Chihiro (Yamada), herself a powerful psychic, and Toru (Amamoto), a scholar specialising in Nostradamus’s writings.
Moon Spiral operatives attempt to manipulate Chihiro into joining their cause, recognising that her abilities could significantly advance their objective of preventing the meek from inheriting the Earth. The narrative follows the escalating conflict between the two secret factions as the prophesied date approaches.
