Summary
A Zhai, a socially withdrawn otaku (nerd/geek), harbours an intense infatuation with Pei Ni, the most admired girl at his school, yet lacks the confidence and interpersonal skills to approach her. His circumstances change when he acquires a piece of futuristic technology capable of delivering a robotic companion from the future. Through a programming error, he inadvertently configures the robot according to Pei Ni’s ideal vision of a boyfriend rather than modelling it after Pei Ni herself. As a result, A Zhai finds himself living with a male robot companion instead of the intended female counterpart.
Determined to correct the mistake, A Zhai orders a second robot and customizes it to resemble Pei Ni. Complications arise when the female robot develops romantic feelings not for A Zhai, but for the male robot. The three subsequently coexist in an increasingly untenable domestic arrangement, forming a comedic and emotionally fraught love triangle. The narrative centres on the escalating consequences of this technological mishap and the uncertain resolution of the entanglement.
