Summary
The story follows Lin Mo Bai, a medical student who suffers a life‑threatening accident while travelling in Bingchuan. In an effort to save him, his father , a scientist, implements a series of mechanical augmentations that leave Lin Mo Bai physiologically and cognitively altered, rendering him a hybrid of human and robotic components.
During an accidental encounter with Jiang Meng, an intern in the field of journalism, she develops an immediate infatuation with him, initiating a largely one‑sided pursuit driven by her determination to win his affection. Lin Mo Bai, equipped with advanced artificial intelligence and struggling to reconcile his transformed identity, must navigate the complexities of interpersonal relationships, familial expectations and emerging friendships while contending with the implications of his half‑human, half‑robot existence.
