Summary
Matt Bellows, curator of the digital Cyber Museum, scans a rare artefact known as the Gorgos Stone in order to incorporate it into the museum’s collection. The act of scanning inadvertently transports the stone into the mythic realms and releases Gorgos, an ancient and malevolent deity imprisoned within it. Upon regaining his freedom, Gorgos seeks vengeance against the gods who confined him, intending to rewrite and erase established myths to achieve his aims. Bellows enters the myth worlds in an effort to prevent the destruction of these narratives.
Bellows’s teenage children, Alex and Cleo, soon deduce the circumstances surrounding their father’s disappearance and begin searching for him. Each time they interact with the Cyber Museum’s display interface, they are drawn directly into a mythic scenario and assume the identities of figures from the corresponding legend, such as Orpheus. Through these encounters, the siblings pursue their father while simultaneously gaining deeper insight into classical mythology and developing a greater understanding of themselves.
