Summary
Second‑year students Iwata Koichi and Kagawa Midori of Tozaiyama High School witness an unusual celestial event when a shooting star appears to rise rather than fall. The following day, Midori observes a luminous figure on campus, prompting rumours of a ghost among the student body.
A mysterious transfer student, Yamazawa Norio, arrives at the school and takes up residence next door to Koichi. His presence coincides with a series of inexplicable phenomena occurring around Koichi, suggesting a connection between the newcomer and the earlier sightings.
As events escalate, the true nature of Norio’s arrival, and the purpose behind his appearance in the human world, is gradually disclosed.
