Summary
The series is set in New Jersey and centres on a family that relocates to a gated townhouse development known as Hidden Hills. Upon settling in, they discover that the entire community is inhabited by extra-terrestrials who have adopted human form. These residents exhibit a range of distinctive behaviours: they name themselves after sports celebrities, travel through the neighbourhood in golf carts, dress uniformly, absorb nourishment through visual and mental intake by reading books rather than eating, and express emotion by secreting green fluid from their ears.
Although capable of reverting to their natural appearance by clapping their hands above their heads, the aliens have remained on Earth for a decade, awaiting further instructions from their home world.
