Summary
Computer systems analyst Angela Bennett receives a confidential email that triggers a sophisticated identity‑erasure operation. Her records are overwritten, and she is reassigned the identity of fugitive Elizabeth Marx by a covert organisation known as the Praetorian Guard.
Seeking to understand the circumstances behind her disappearance, Angela tracks down Dr. Phillip Waylan, one of the individuals referenced in the original message. Gaining her trust, Waylan accompanies her to Copper Canyon, where they attempt to uncover the source and purpose of the conspiracy surrounding her altered identity.
