Summary
Oedo is a vibrant settlement inhabited by a diverse population. Yuta, an apprentice blacksmith, aspires to assist others but is hindered by his physical weakness. His circumstances change when he encounters the inventor Hiraga Gennai, who provides him with a steam‑powered suit of armour of his own design. The device amplifies the wearer’s strength severalfold, granting Yuta abilities far beyond his natural capacity.
At the same time, the clandestine organisation Shimavaran, under the leadership of Amakusa Shiro, advances toward Oedo with hostile intent. In response, Yuta dons the steam‑powered armour and prepares to confront the approaching threat. The ensuing conflict will determine the fate of Oedo and its inhabitants.
