Summary
Set in 2031, OK Computer depicts a technologically advanced India characterised by holographic civic infrastructure and drone‑regulated transportation systems. The narrative is set in motion when a self‑driving taxi is compromised and used to kill a pedestrian, prompting veteran cybercrime investigator Saajan Kundu to be recalled from retirement to examine the incident.
Kundu reluctantly collaborates with Laxmi Suri, an artificial intelligence specialist and former colleague, as the inquiry leads them to Goa. There, the investigation centres on Ajeeb, a government‑supported humanoid robot distinguished by its apparently harmless and compliant behaviour.
As the case develops, the investigators confront a series of philosophical, legal, and ethical questions: whether Ajeeb possesses the capacity for intent or violence; whether an artificial intelligence can be held culpable if externally manipulated; and whether a human agent may be orchestrating the events from behind the scenes. The series employs these dilemmas to explore the evolving boundaries of artificial intelligence and its implications for future societal frameworks.
