Summary
The series is set a decade after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), during which the Jedi Order was nearly eradicated and Jedi Master Obi‑Wan Kenobi’s apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, succumbed to the dark side and assumed the identity of the Sith Lord Darth Vader. In the aftermath, Kenobi retreats into seclusion on the desert planet Tatooine, where he covertly monitors the upbringing of Anakin’s son, Luke Skywalker.
Kenobi’s isolation is disrupted when Anakin’s daughter, Leia Organa, is abducted by the Galactic Empire’s Inquisitors, a cadre tasked with hunting surviving Jedi. The kidnapping is part of a deliberate scheme intended to lure Kenobi out of hiding. His efforts to rescue Leia bring him into direct confrontation with Vader, whom Kenobi had believed dead. This encounter compels Kenobi to confront the psychological trauma and profound guilt stemming from Anakin’s fall and the collapse of the Jedi Order.
