Summary
The narrative centres on an individual who discovers a concealed subterranean chamber that functions as a conduit to the past. Through this passage he gains access to a historical era entirely unknown to him, and the revelations he encounters compel him to maintain a dual existence across two distinct temporal periods. His movements between these timelines gradually expose the complexities of the past and the consequences of living simultaneously in separate epochs.
