Summary
College student Marian relocates to a dormitory room recently vacated following the death of a young woman, where she begins to experience indications of a disturbing supernatural presence. Seeking guidance, she reluctantly approaches the Others, a small but heterogeneous collective devoted to examining and understanding their extrasensory abilities. The group encourages Marian to acknowledge and develop what they describe as her fearsome talent.
As Marian attempts to comprehend the nature of her emerging abilities, she discovers that her heightened sensitivity is both an asset and a liability, exposing her to significant personal danger. In response, she turns to several members of the Others for assistance, including a renowned medium, an empathetic medical intern, and a New Age sensitive, each offering distinct perspectives on the peril she faces.
