Summary
Twelve‑year‑old Joe Lucas is a gifted young scientist who formulates a compound that grants him temporary invisibility. The only person aware of his discovery is his closest friend, Ali Patanjali, and together the boys find themselves embroiled in numerous misadventures as they test the limits of Joe’s invention. Joe’s family remains entirely unaware of the experiments conducted in his garden shed. His father, a harried cab driver who operates a small business prone to occasional difficulties, frequently relies on Joe, and the invisibility formula, to resolve problems that arise.
The compound, known as Inviz, provides invisibility for only a brief duration and carries a significant limitation: its effects can be nullified by water, which immediately reveals any object or person coated with the substance.
