Summary
Royal Abbott is a Wyoming rancher engaged in a protracted struggle to protect his land and family. His circumstances shift following the arrival of Autumn, a female drifter whose unexplained connection to the Abbott ranch coincides with his discovery of a mysterious black void in one of the pastures. As the Abbott family continues to grapple with the unresolved disappearance of their daughter‑in‑law, Rebecca, mounting pressure arises from the neighbouring Tillerson family, who seek to claim the Abbotts’ property and escalate the conflict between the two households.
