Summary
The first season centres on Chris Smith, known as Peacemaker, following his recovery from the injuries sustained during the events of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film The Suicide Squad (2021). Upon regaining his health, Peacemaker is compelled to join the covert A.R.G.U.S. black‑operations unit designated Project Butterfly, which is tasked with identifying and neutralising parasitic, butterfly‑like extra-terrestrial organisms that have infiltrated human hosts across the globe.
The second season is situated within the DC Universe (DCU) continuity after the events of the DCU film Superman (2025). It follows Peacemaker as he discovers an alternate reality in which he is celebrated as a heroic figure and reunited with alternate versions of his brother and father.
