Summary
Playing himself, as he would in all subsequent serials, Autry appears as a dude cowboy who operates a radio station from his ranch, serving as its resident singing star. A criminal gang covets his radium mine, and during Autry’s pursuit of them they inadvertently discover the hidden entrance to Murania, an advanced subterranean civilisation whose technological superiority is matched by internal political tensions heightened by contact with the surface world. Both the gang and Autry’s group are captured by the Muranians and their robotic enforcers. Their escape becomes possible only when a power struggle erupts within Murania itself, after High Chancellor Oakman attempts to overthrow Queen Tika Christie, ultimately leading to the destruction of the underground realm.
