Summary
Photon is a science‑fiction adventure series centred on Christopher Jarvis, a high‑school student who adopts the alias Bhodi Li. Chris discovers that the Photon lasertag game functions as a galactic selection mechanism designed to identify the strongest warriors across the universe. Upon activating his laser weapon and declaring The light shines!, he is transported to a distant space station, where he joins an elite team known as the Photon Warriors.
Bhodi Li’s companions include Parcival, an orphaned Earth‑born prodigy; Pike, a shape‑shifting amorphous being; Leon, a reptilian humanoid; Lord Baethan, a cyborg; and Tivia, a warrior princess from Nivia, a matriarchal world whose male population has become extinct. The group is guided by MOM (Multiple Operation Matrix), a sentient computer that serves as their mentor and strategic adviser. Their adversaries, who operate under the motto Let the darkness grow!, represent the forces of darkness seeking to undermine the balance of the galaxy.
The central conflict of the series revolves around the quest for the Photon crystal, a powerful artefact located on each planet. As the crystal approaches the end of its hundred‑year energy cycle, opposing factions race to be the first to strike it with their laser weapons. If the Photon Warriors succeed, the planet is revitalised and becomes a thriving world. If the villains prevail, the planet is transformed into a barren wasteland. Each episode follows Bhodi Li and his allies as they attempt to secure the crystal and prevent the spread of darkness throughout the galaxy.
