Summary
The series follows Planet Prince (Umemiya), who arrives on Earth in a flying saucer and adopts the disguise of a bootblack while defending liberty and justice. His principal adversary is Phantom Mission, a would‑be world conqueror distinguished by his use of elaborate magic tricks.
In the first chapter, Phantom Mission steals the formula for a new rocket fuel and escapes into space. Planet Prince pursues him, ultimately overtaking the villain and prevailing in their confrontation. The second chapter introduces additional threats: Phantom Mission returns, aided by a group of giants who abduct a physicist and launch him into orbit. Planet Prince rescues the stranded scientist and once again defeats his opponent.
The narrative structure reflects the format of serialised adventure fiction, with each instalment presenting a self‑contained conflict centred on the hero’s efforts to thwart Phantom Mission’s schemes.
