Summary
A portal leading to an alternate dimension is suddenly discovered, revealing a parallel world whose history diverged significantly from that of Earth. Fifty years have passed since this newly found realm was designated PORTAL and systematic observation of its interior began. To document and analyse the failures and societal missteps evident in these alternate realities, a long-running programme known as PORTAL-X is established.
The series follows Kaif, a newly appointed programme director, and Luna, a camerawoman, as they investigate a wide range of parallel worlds connected through the portals. Each world they visit has been shaped by critical historical decisions that led to irreversible consequences. Their reports examine societies facing severe food shortages, cultures in which immortality has been achieved, communities struggling to realise genuine diversity, worlds afflicted by extremely low birth rates, and civilisations whose fortunes are determined entirely by chance.
Through their investigations, Kaif and Luna not only document the conditions of these alternate realities but also reflect on the choices that shaped them. As their journey progresses, the true nature of both their own world and the mysterious parallel realm known as PORTAL gradually comes to light, revealing deeper secrets hidden beyond the doorways between dimensions.
