Summary
Centuries ago in Japan, the Nighloks, monstrous beings capable of crossing into the human world, launched an assault on Earth. They were repelled by five samurai warriors who wielded mystical kanji‑based symbol power, becoming the first Samurai Power Rangers. Their knowledge and abilities were passed down through successive generations, each continuing the defence against recurring Nighlok incursions. For hundreds of years, this lineage of Samurai Rangers safeguarded the world from the threat of the Sanzu River’s corruption.
When the Nighlok leader, Master Xandred, returns to renew his campaign to flood the Earth with the waters of the Sanzu River, the eighteenth generation of Samurai Rangers is assembled. The team consists of Red Ranger Jayden Shiba, a disciplined and reserved leader; Blue Ranger Kevin, a tradition‑minded second‑in‑command; Pink Ranger Mia Watanabe, the group’s empathetic and supportive presence; Green Ranger Mike, a creative and irreverent strategist; and Yellow Ranger Emily, the youngest and most gentle member of the team. They are later joined by Gold Ranger Antonio Garcia, an enthusiastic fisherman and self‑taught inventor who develops his own Ranger powers independently of the Samurai lineage.
