Summary
The series centres on The Powers Project, a research group led by Professor Henry Powers (Rupert Holliday‑Evans) that investigates phenomena associated with the paranormal. The team comprises Mark Roberts (Adam Jessop) and Song‑Li Harris (Amy Yamazaki), two adolescents possessing psychic abilities, and Dr Mary Holland (Mandana Jones), who exhibited similar powers during her youth but no longer retains them.
Mark and Song‑Li demonstrate distinct forms of extrasensory capability. Mark is telepathic and able to manipulate objects through psychokinesis, whereas Song‑Li possesses heightened perceptive abilities that allow her to sense emotions and memories connected to physical objects. She is introduced in the opening episode following the discovery of her abilities and subsequently participates in most of the project’s investigations alongside Mark.
