Summary
The narrative follows Usagi Tsukino, a middle‑school student whose routine morning is interrupted when a plush cat doll named Luna unexpectedly falls from the sky and lands on her. Later that evening, Luna reappears and reveals that Usagi is destined to serve as one of the Sailor Guardians, a group of magical protectors. Using a transformative cosmetic device, Usagi assumes the identity of Sailor Moon, champion of love and justice.
Usagi soon joins forces with additional Guardians: Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury), Rei Hino (Sailor Mars), and Makoto Kino (Sailor Jupiter). They are later accompanied by idol singer and nocturnal vigilante Minako Aino, who operates as Sailor Venus, also known as Sailor V, as well as the enigmatic masked figure Tuxedo Kamen. Together, the group seeks to locate the Moon Princess and the Mystical Silver Crystal, while defending them from Queen Beryl and the forces of the Dark Kingdom.
