Summary
A team of Atlanta police officers, led by Detective John Grant, becomes increasingly perplexed by a series of murders involving six affluent women, each killed on successive Saturdays. Frustrated by the lack of progress in the investigation, Grant seeks assistance from FBI agent Bailey Malone, who in turn persuades his former student, Dr. Sam Waters, to emerge from retirement.
Grant is initially wary of Waters, particularly her unconventional assertions that she can see things in her mind, a reference to her specialised form of criminal profiling. Nevertheless, with the case still unresolved, he reluctantly accepts Malone’s proposal. Waters agrees to participate and welcomes Malone’s offer to act as her protective liaison.
Working together, Waters, Malone, and Grant establish the Violent Criminals Task Force, an elite investigative unit composed of highly skilled professionals dedicated to analysing and solving high‑profile crimes across the United States.
