Summary
The narrative centres on a species of waving red grass that disperses its seeds worldwide and is fatal on contact. The protagonists are a group of ordinary young people with no specialist expertise or knowledge. They seek to understand the origin and purpose of the Red Grass on Earth, and to determine how to halt its spread and eradicate it before it kills the last surviving humans.
In a separate account, the Red Grass is described as an extraordinary herb discovered by an English archaeologist near Athens. While contact with the plant causes a painful sting, it also confers the ability to see into the future. Two criminals obtain a specimen and travel to England to exploit it for dishonest purposes, pursued by Donald and Janet Mason, two children who are aware of their secret.
Please note, the series is considered lost.
