Summary
Val, the heir to a vampire throne, struggles to meet the expectations placed upon him by his father and their family's long-standing traditions. Unlike other vampires, he has never embraced the bloodthirsty rituals that mark the path to adulthood. Just as he appears ready for his initiation, his mother reveals a life-changing secret. Faced with a choice between two very different worlds, Val must confront a dilemma that could determine his future and identity.
