Summary
Shinozaki Ayumi receives an unexpected telephone call in which an unidentified caller warns her that an earthquake will occur precisely one hour later. Assuming the message to be a prank, she ends the call. However, one hour afterward, she experiences a slight tremor and, upon turning on the television, discovers that the caller’s prediction regarding both the timing and the epicentre has proven accurate.
The caller subsequently contacts her again and identifies himself as Kazama. He explains that he possesses knowledge of future events because he has returned to a specific point in the past and begun his life anew. Referring to this act of temporal regression as Repeat, Kazama invites Ayumi to participate in the phenomenon. In addition to Ayumi, Mori Keisuke and Tendo Taro are among eight individuals selected by Kazama to undertake a Repeat.
These eight participants, each motivated by personal regrets, soon encounter a succession of unforeseen and destabilising incidents. Amid the mounting difficulties, Ayumi and Mori gradually develop mutual feelings.
