Summary
Badoh is a criminal organisation that supplies hired killer robots to clients across the underworld. In response to the increasing number of robot‑related crimes, the Metropolitan Police’s Special Science Investigation Department recruits K, a robot detective voiced by Nakamura. Although programmed to be a diligent and methodical officer, K is immediately paired with a hostile human partner, veteran detective Shiba (Takashina). Shiba harbours a deep resentment toward machines following the death of his wife in an automobile accident, relying instead on intuition and experience while rejecting K’s strictly logical approach to police work.
While attempting to understand human emotion and behaviour, K works alongside Shiba and younger action, oriented officer Tsuyoshi Shinjo (Chiba). Together, the mismatched team investigates Badoh’s various robot‑related offences, gradually attempting to trace each incident back to the organisation itself.
