Summary
Sanctuary chronicles the work of Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping), whose mission is to locate, study, and safeguard cryptids, legendary beings, and individuals or creatures possessing extraordinary abilities, collectively referred to as Abnormals. She oversees the Sanctuary Network, a global system of specialised facilities that provide secure refuge and research environments for these entities. Magnus is supported by her initially hesitant protégé, Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne); her bold and impulsive daughter, Ashley (Emilie Ullerup); Henry Foss (Ryan Robbins), a technologically adept lycanthrope responsible for security and systems engineering; and a reserved assistant resembling Homo heidelbergensis, portrayed by Christopher Heyerdahl and credited simply as Bigfoot.
