Summary
Based on Leigh Jacobson’s story Dangers of the Deep, the narrative is initiated by a laser‑like red ray devised by Professor Crawford (Smith) and subsequently refined with the assistance of his daughter, Mary (Todd). Daugherty portrays a reporter whose coverage has the potential to increase the commercial value of the invention.
