Summary
The series focuses on the World Securities Corporation, a technologically advanced international private‑investigation agency whose field operatives, known as probes, constitute its elite cadre. These agents are equipped with miniature surveillance and communications devices, including implanted audio receivers and compact scanners capable of transmitting video and telemetry. The scanners are typically concealed within personal accessories such as tie clips or jewellery; a frequently employed configuration involves mounting the device on a ring, allowing the operative to direct it unobtrusively.
Each episode centres on one of three principal probes undertaking assignments that frequently intersect with political intrigue or organized criminal activity. Although the operatives routinely encounter hazardous situations, they do not carry firearms, and instances of fatality, whether among the probes or other characters, are uncommon.
