Summary
The series chronicles the experiences of Jimmy Pritchard, a 75‑year‑old former sheriff of King County, Washington, portrayed by Philip Baker Hall. Once a respected law‑enforcement figure, Pritchard’s career ultimately collapsed under the weight of his own moral failings, leading to disgrace and forced retirement. Following his murder, he is resurrected in a biologically enhanced, physically rejuvenated body, played by Robert Kazinsky, through the intervention of billionaire technology innovators Mary and Otto Goodwin, portrayed by Dilshad Vadsaria and Adhir Kalyan respectively.
Despite being granted a new life and the opportunity to redefine his purpose, Pritchard continues to struggle with the same personal weaknesses and ethical temptations that once undermined his career. His resurrection thus becomes both a literal and moral second chance, framed by ongoing tension between his renewed capabilities and the unresolved flaws of his former self.
