Summary
Set during the early stages of the First World War, the series follows French soldier Gabriel Ferraud, who is severely wounded in combat and subsequently selected for a secret military programme designed to create enhanced soldiers. After being injected with an experimental serum, Gabriel acquires extraordinary physical abilities, including increased strength, speed, and endurance, and is assigned to The Sentinels, an elite unit composed of similarly enhanced operatives.
As Gabriel adapts to his new role, he begins experiencing unexplained episodes of violent behaviour. He eventually discovers that he shares a telepathic connection with another enhanced soldier serving on the opposing side of the conflict. Confronted with the implications of this connection, Gabriel becomes involved in a struggle that could influence the course of the war.
