Summary
Reiko Kazemura, daughter of the President of the Kazemura Conglomerate, is abducted by a criminal gang seeking to extort the corporation. During the incident, Sugata Kageoh, an employee of the Kazemura Company, undertakes an unsanctioned rescue attempt to recover her from captivity.
While fleeing their captors, Kageoh and Kazemura inadvertently become entangled in high‑voltage transmission wires. The resulting electrical shock is of such magnitude that both individuals undergo a profound physiological and metaphysical transformation, becoming fused with their own shadows. Surviving the event, they subsequently discover that the accident has endowed them with the ability to manipulate and project their shadows in multiple forms and applications.
Harnessing these newly acquired abilities, the pair resolve to combat criminal activity under the identities KageStar and Belle Star.
