Summary
Sierra Nine was a children’s television series named after a fictional government agency composed of scientific trouble-shooters. The organisation operated as a three‑member team tasked with investigating and resolving scientific problems, particularly those arising from experiments that had malfunctioned or fallen into inappropriate hands.
The agency was established by Sir Willoughby Dodd, an eccentric, middle‑aged scientist who directed operations from an office located near Trafalgar Square in London. Sierra Nine’s field activities were carried out by two younger operatives: Anna Parsons and Dr Peter Chance, both of whom undertook assignments under Sir Dodd’s supervision.
The series featured a recurring antagonist known as The Baron, a renegade scientist who opposed Sierra Nine on multiple occasions. His confrontations with the team formed a central element of the programme’s ongoing narrative.
