Summary
Sigmund the Sea Monster is ostracised by his family after refusing to participate in frightening humans, a traditional expectation within their community. Subjected to persistent harassment, he ultimately leaves his home and begins wandering alone along the shoreline. During this period, he is discovered by two brothers, Johnny and Scott, who befriend him and offer refuge in their beachfront clubhouse.
The series chronicles the ensuing misadventures of the boys and their unusual companion as they attempt to conceal Sigmund’s presence from the surrounding community. Their efforts are complicated by the activities of Sigmund’s family, the Oozes, creatures resembling large masses of seaweed with humanoid faces, who repeatedly attempt to retrieve him whenever circumstances in their coastal cave demand his return.
