Summary
Originally titled The Man Who Stole the Earth, the serial presents a technological rivalry between two inventors. Santro (Semels), a Mabuse‑like scientist endowed with hypnotic abilities, constructs a silent aircraft capable of ascending at extreme speed and circumnavigating the globe within hours. Opposing him is Professor Elliot (Redman), who develops a laser‑based transmission beam able to send signals to Mars and detect airborne objects regardless of altitude.
Recognising that Elliot’s ray represents the sole threat to his aircraft, Santro resolves to destroy it. His plans are complicated by the intervention of his daughter (Shanor), who allies herself with Elliot’s daughter (Caprice) and her boyfriend (Seitz). Together, they work to thwart Santro’s increasingly megalomaniacal ambitions. The serial concludes with the destruction of Santro’s experimental aircraft, bringing an end to his attempt to dominate Earth through technological superiority.
