Summary
Small Wonder is a sitcom centred on the Lawson family, whose household includes an experimental humanoid robot designed to resemble a ten‑year‑old girl. The series follows the efforts of Ted Lawson, a computer engineer, to conceal the true nature of his creation, Vicki, from neighbours and colleagues while integrating her into everyday family life.
Although Vicki generally behaves like a precocious young girl, her incomplete programming frequently results in literal interpretations of language, mechanical speech patterns, or other atypical behaviours. The Lawson family, Ted, his wife Joan, and their son Jamie, are the only individuals aware of her robotic identity.
