Summary
Soulmates is a science‑fiction anthology series set roughly fifteen years in the future, in a society transformed by a breakthrough in romantic determinism. At the centre of this future world is Soul Connex, a corporation that has engineered a diagnostic test capable of identifying, with claimed 100% accuracy, the individual a person is destined to love most deeply.
Those who undergo the procedure receive one of two outcomes: the identity of their designated soulmate, or the message Your soulmate hasn’t tested yet. The narrative structure of the series is built around standalone episodes, each examining the social, psychological, and ethical consequences of a world in which romantic destiny can be scientifically certified. The stories explore whether love is an inevitable fate or a conscious human choice, and how individuals respond when confronted with information that may challenge existing relationships, personal identity, or long‑held beliefs about intimacy.
