Summary
Sigma is a strategically positioned orbital metropolis operating on advanced fusion‑energy systems and located along the Galactic Frontier. It serves as the final bastion of human resistance against a technologically superior alien civilisation ruled by the warlord Zhakhakoo. The narrative begins when a lethal extra-terrestrial organism infiltrates a human star-ship, revealing a new tactic devised by Zhakhakoo to eliminate Commander Tara and seize control of Sigma. The city represents the last significant obstacle preventing Zhakhakoo from annexing Earth into his expanding interstellar dominion.
For this campaign, Zhakhakoo deploys a creature known simply as Blob. The Blob is an amorphous, foul‑smelling entity resembling a mass of wet organic sludge. It attacks by leaping onto unsuspecting victims and draining their life force, killing any individual it touches. As unexplained deaths spread throughout Sigma, widespread panic and disorder follow, allowing the creature to move undetected through the city.
During the ensuing chaos, Blob targets Shakti, the city’s chief of security and a cyborg. Shakti is lured into a trap, enabling Blob to attach itself to his face and attempt to kill him. A violent struggle ensues. In its eagerness to overpower Shakti, Blob fails to recognise that it has latched onto the metallic portion of Shakti’s cybernetic structure, rendering its life‑draining ability ineffective. Realising this advantage, Shakti overpowers the creature, ultimately destroying Blob and safeguarding Sigma from imminent collapse.
News of Blob’s defeat reaches Zhakhakoo, who reacts with frustration at yet another failed attempt to conquer the city.
