Summary
Set in the 30th century, Space Patrol depicts a branch of the United Planets responsible for interplanetary security and administration. The organisation is headquartered on the artificial world Terra and commanded by Buzz Corry, who replaced the earlier commander, his brother Kit Corry.
Corry’s principal aide is Cadet Happy, frequently used to provide light comic relief or to prompt exposition. Other recurring personnel include Major Robertson, one of Corry’s senior assistants, and Carol Karlyle, daughter of the United Planets’ secretary‑general and Corry’s understated romantic interest. Tonga, introduced initially as a spy posing as the secretary‑general’s secretary, later reforms and joins the Space Patrol.
Corry’s chief adversary is Prince Baccarratti, also known as The Black Falcon, a power‑driven antagonist assisted by his malevolent associate Malengro. Additional villains include Mr. Proteus, a master of disguise.
