Summary
Yamashiro Takuya becomes Spider‑Man after discovering the crashed Marveller spacecraft, which his father, space researcher Dr. Yamashiro, had attempted to investigate before being killed by the Iron Cross Group. Pursued by their agents, Takuya falls into a pit where he meets Garia, the last survivor of Planet Spider. Before dying, Garia implants the Spider Bracelet and injects Takuya with Spider Extract, granting him enhanced abilities and access to the Marveller.
With the Spider Bracelet, Takuya can summon his costume, fire Spider String and Spider Nets, detect Iron Cross disguises, and call both his GP‑7 supercar and the Marveller. He retains wall‑climbing abilities and a Spider Sense similar to the Marvel character. The GP‑7, launched from the Marveller, is capable of flight and missile fire and serves as Takuya’s boarding vehicle.
Garia’s world was destroyed by the Iron Cross Group, prompting him to bring the Marveller to Earth. After his death, Takuya continues the fight. Supporting characters include Takuya’s sister Niiko, his younger brother Takuji, and his girlfriend Hitomi Sakuma, a photographer for Weekly Woman. Takuya is portrayed by Tōdō Shinji, who also appeared in Denshi Sentai Denziman and a Metal Hero adaptation of Kikaider.
