Summary
Planet Medusa, home to a technologically advanced and highly evolved humanoid civilisation governed by women, is displaced from its orbit around Proxima Centauri after a collision with a rogue comet. As the planet drifts into Earth’s solar system, two Medusan males, Adam (Pierre Brice) and Shem (Gareth Thomas), escape in a newly repaired spacecraft and flee to Earth. Their departure prompts pursuit by Medusan security forces.
When the Medusan leadership, headed by Supreme Councillors Fulvia (Judy Geeson) and Octavia (Christiane Krüger), fails to apprehend the fugitives, they seize two human hostages: Dr Rudi Schmidt (Christian Quadflieg) and his assistant Dr Liz Becker (Lisa Harrow). The series follows the efforts of both groups to adjust to life on unfamiliar worlds while negotiating a potential exchange of the hostages.
