Summary
In the year 3034, humanity has evolved into an emotionless, expansionist civilisation that destroys any alien species it encounters. Captain Belinda Blowhard commands the Starship Nemesis, dispatched to eliminate the Reptids, an alien race preparing a biological agent designed to restore human emotion, specifically compassion, in hopes of halting humanity’s destructive behaviour.
When the Reptids release the agent on the Nemesis crew and escape by travelling back to the early 21st century, the Nemesis, the only vessel equipped for temporal pursuit, follows them into the past. Overwhelmed by the sudden return of their emotions, the crew becomes stranded in the 21st century, where they must manage their newfound emotional states while seeking a cure and attempting to prevent the Reptids from achieving their objective.
