Summary
In this future era, traditional political boundaries have dissolved; states and nations have given way to a unified humanity and its expanding network of off‑world colonies. Human civilisation has extended its reach to distant stars, and even the deepest oceans have been transformed into new realms of habitation. Starships traverse the galaxy at velocities far beyond contemporary imagination, forming the backbone of an immense interstellar infrastructure.
Among these vessels is the Orion, a single but vital component of the vast Galactic Security System charged with safeguarding Earth from threats emerging out of the cosmic void. The narrative follows the Orion and her crew as they undertake their patrols along the remote frontier, an expanse evocatively described as the edge of infinity.
