Start Here Guide
On this page we talk about how to get the best out this website, with 1000s of Entries it can be daunting to know on the best way to use this website. So here I suggest the best way to use the site.
If you know what you want.
If you know what you want to search for the best approach is to use the Search bar at the top of every page, if you type in the exact name of the show it will come up first, if not it will give you other suggestions that match closely what you are looking for.
You can search for anything not just the name of show, if you are looking for a particular actor/actress you can search for it. It will also find any alternative titles for show, if you might know a show by a different name.
For Casual Browsers
There are many ways to find new and interesting shows you have never heard off, I recommend you start with the A to Z Index, they are split into Live Action shows and animated shows.
Index Pages
Each index page is split into two sections, the top list shows you the name of the show, the year it was made, country and a translation if required, and an episode guide if available. The bottom section list, shows you all alternative names for shows, which is very important if a show is for example not in English.
On This Day
The on this day pages shows you TV shows that either started today or ended today, the home page shows a maximum of 5 per section, but on the main on this day page shows you all of then.
Random Articles
On the left hand side of the page the system will show you 5 random articles from the site, plus the first few lines of the plot, you can click on the link to see more information about each show.
What's New
Each week I post a select of new shows added to the database, click on the what new link to see what I have added in the past week.
Browse by
One of the most powerful parts of the site are the browse by section and category lists, here you can browse by country, year, theme, franchise, broadcaster and many more.
Future
So what do I have planned for future features. I will do articles based on different themes, such as:
- Major producers such as Irwin Allen, Gene Roddenberry etc.
- Country Guides, history of SF in that country and major shows
- Actor/Actress BIOs, in particular for those who have been a major part of their career in SF.
- Expansion of theme's guide.
