Summary
The series stars Karolina Kominek as Lena, who returns to her hometown of Wałbrzych to search for her estranged teenage daughter, Ada (Alicja Wieniawa‑Narkiewicz). Lena enlists the help of her former school friend, Rafał (Dawid Ogrodnik), now a local police detective. Ada vanished while supervising five schoolchildren, and Lena and Rafał’s inquiry leads them into the region’s disused coal‑mining tunnels and the World War II‑era sanatorium known as Black Daisy. Their efforts are obstructed by the sanatorium’s owner, Marta (Edyta Olszówka), who maintains a philanthropic public image while covertly funding human‑rejuvenation experiments and ordering the use of cyanide gas against police officers.
